SHERCO EXTREME TEAM TAKES VICTORY AT THE ENDURAID 2020

After the setting of the sun of the Sea to Sky race, the Xtreme riders of the Sherco Factory Racing team lined up for the first round of the 2020-2021 Extreme Challenge: the Enduraid des Gorges de l’Allier. The Motorcycle Club des Hauts Plateaux presented a long and exhausting race which put the riders and the machines to the test.
 

Starting strong on Friday evening Mario Roman won the night prologue and launched his weekend in the best possible way. On Saturday, the riders set out for 3 50km laps with the level of difficulty increasing as the laps progressed. Mario and Wade set a blistering pace from the start, completing the first lap in less than 1.5 hours, wheel to wheel. At the end of the second lap Wade Young breaks away slightly, ahead of Mario by more than a minute.

When they arrive at the third and hardest lap, Mario increased his effort, he overtakes and passes Wade. He then widened the gap over the difficult terrain, he was fresher physically at the end of the race. Mario dominated this third lap and won this 2020 edition of the Enduraid ahead of his team-mate Wade Young, who finished 2nd.

The Enduraid was excellent preparation for the next event of the Sherco Xtreme Factory Racing team: the RedBull Romaniacs which this year will take place at the end of October.
